It is said and believed that the Universe has no dimensions, that it is limitless and its dimension cannot be ascertained. The Universe seems endless in terms of time and space. This is interpreted to mean that there are no limits to the spatial and temporal aspects of the Universe. As intellect seeks the limits of the Universe, it is disturbed because it cannot perform its functions upon the Universe, namely, to measure it, to understand the Universe "in its terms." This requires the intellect to delimit, to conceptualize it, to divide it up, and to categorize it. But whatever limits the intellect tries to impose, it must admit that it can still conceive of something beyond those limits in terms of space and time, in terms of intellectual language. Thus, to intellect, the Universe is immeasurable and infinite in "terms of" time and space.
The problem the Intellect has is that its functions are impressive but only when they themselves are limited. When the judgments of intellect are limited in regard to space and time, as in Newtonian Physics, they are very useful and almost seem "true". But simple logic carried to its ultimate conclusions and its ultimate outcomes leads to inanity.
Why can the Universe not be limited even by the forceful nature of intellect which seems to have categorized and delimited every other aspect of experience, every other phenomenon. Why can the Universe not be categorized except as "The Universe", as a whole?
The answer is simple. That which is one, is one. That which is unlimited cannot be limited. That which is indivisible cannot be divided up. At least, it cannot be divided up by intellect or in terms of intellect. And if this is true of the Universe, then the Universe may be undimensional as far as the intellect is concerned. As it is necessarily unified, one, a whole, being-whatever-it-is, now, instantaneously, immediately, totally, it is either undimensional or it is unidimensional, being all dimensions at once, instantaneously summated and presented as their synthesis, as black is all colors at once.
And what might be this unidimensional nature of the Universe? If it is "at once", if it is "one", then the dimension is One, at Once! And what is this dimension? The dimension is called INTENSITY! For the Universe is comprised of Power and INTENSITY is the only dimension of Power! And this Power is manifest as SENSATION having the QUALITIES of oscillation and duration. Furthermore, the most and greatest demonstration of the INTENSITY OF POWER is DYNAMIC MATTER, matter in motion. These are known to us through SENSATION (Analogos judgments), understood by us through CONCEPTION (Logos judgments) and communicated to one another through symbolic languages (Logos function). Matter is the physical manifestation of Power while motion is the metaphysical manifestation of Power, in the terms of Logos.
Simply stated, man is incapable of grasping the Universe in the intellectual mode because the linear, sequential and digital nature of intellectual mentation renders it incapable of measuring the universe IN ITS TERMS. It is useful however, in applying its method to limited portions or aspects of the Universe. It can and does create closed systems of thought, conceptual paradigms, language systems and language games within which we can remain internally consistent and logical. But when we cross the boundaries of the intellectual assumptions, and if we carry out profound logic linearly for more than a few steps, we find ourselves in a Kafka's 'Trial or in Alice"s Wonderland of inanity. This is because intellectual thought and logic, WHICH SEEM LINEAR, are, in fact, occurring within the round system of the brain enclosed by the concave round limits of the skull. Intellectual thought, which "seems" linear in conception, is in fact curved. Einstein's discovery that "space was curve" was ridiculous! What is curved is all "thought about space, time and the universe". Thus, all extended logics are doomed to eventually come back upon themselves unless we can cut them off at some arbitrary point before they turn. The knowledge of Salk Polio vaccine is doomed to return to us in the form of viral warfare. All intentional good leads to bad, all bad to good. This is the intellectual trap of the "do-gooders", and the scourge of modern governments whose well-meaning laws end up boggling and corrupting the nation.
But now I ask you, can the Universe be measured by Analogos? For Analogos is the other and more primary judgmental system. And the answer is Yes! Analogos too can give us its judgment of the Universe and necessarily IN ITS OWN TERMS, in the terms of SENSATION. And like Logos, it too is limited to judging that which is available to it. This is to say, it is Analogos which gives us our measure of the Universe, OUR measure of the Universe MANIFEST AS OURSELVES! This is our measure of that portion of the universal power manifest as our physical matter and metaphysical being, dynamic and changing, called "living". It is our measure of life, our measure of be-ing. And the amount of dynamic matter and mind, and the amount of heat and motion, are direct manifestations of the amount of Power manifest and demonstrated "as ourselves".
This AMOUNT OF POWER is measured by us in the mode of Analogos, then expressed in the terms of Analogos, in the language of Sensation. Sensation, as we have said, can be conceived of as oscillatory and would have the characteristics of AMPLITUDE AND DURATION. And Amplitude can be conceived of as a sine wave having a certain height (as represented symbolically in the terms of Logos). And the height represents the AMOUNT of Power, measured in terms of INTENSITY. And this is known to us, through phenomenal experience, as THE INTENSITY OF THE SENSATION OF BE-ING.
The Intensity of the Sensation of Be-ing is the measure of what and who you are. It is the ultimate foundational experience representing the primary judgment of Analogos, expressed in the primary language of Analogos, Sensation. And the primary judgment of Analogos MEANS, to Intellect and in the language of Intellect, I AM! I SENSE, THEREFORE, I AM (DesCartes). And the intensity of this sensation is the measure of HOW MUCH YOU ARE! And each of us is a finite piece of the Whole Power manifest and demonstrated AS OURSELVES, known to ourselves through Analogos, then realized by and "as ourselves" through Logos. In the end everything is a manifestation of The Greater Power which we may and should call God. Everything, the entire Universe, is a creation of God and of What-Man-Calls-God, Analogos. Ultimately, everything is God knowing Himself or Herself: everything is God pondering Himself or Herself. And since both male and female evolve out of the ocean of the Universe, The Ultimate God (the Cosmological God) is essentially hermaphroditic. We are but sensory organs of The Greater Power, both knowing and understanding, seemingly for ourselves, but actually for that which demands and necessitates our being and for that of which we are direct manifestations, like grapes on the vine of life, sensory polyps on the universal vine of Power. Thus everything becomes God somehow contemplating ITSELF.
